What is FitKey?

FitKey is an auto-renewing, monthly membership that gives you access to the best boutique gyms and fitness studios in South Africa. FitKey is currently in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.

There are different membership options which you are able to choose from. The number of classes you can book are based on your package and how you use your credits. From Ballet to CrossFit and so much in between, you will be spoilt for choice with the best instructors in the business.

What are Credits?

Credits are what you use to book classes through FitKey. Depending on the membership plan you select, you will get a certain number of credits assigned to you each month. You choose how to use your credits each cycle. Classes have different credit rates depending on the popularity of classes or studios You are able to top up on your credits, if you would like to do so - please email info@fitkey.co.za. If you have any unused credits from the previous month, you can rollover a maximum of 5 credits onto the next month.

Do my credits roll over?

If you have unused credits from the previous month, you can roll over a maximum of 10% of your credit package to the next month. This will automatically show in your account. Your credit roll over does not accumulate each month, your credit rollover restarts on each billing cycle. If you cancel your account, you are not eligible to carry roll over credits.

Can I use all my credits at one studio?

Yes you may! There is no limit to how many times you book at each studio per month. The more popular studios will have higher credit ratings meaning that you will not be able to attend as many classes with the number of credits you have.

Try and find classes to maximise your credits. Each class will show the amount of credits required to book that class.

What is the late cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend a class that you have booked for, please make note of the cancellation policy:

Late cancellation fee: If you cancel a reservation once the booking window has closed you will be charged R80 for late cancellations.

Missed class fee: If you miss a reservation without canceling, you will be charged a no show fee of R120.

Please note these fees are on top of the credit cost of the class - credits will not be refunded.

How do I cancel my membership?

Email info@fitkey.co.za with the email address you use to login to your membership and ask to cancel. You must request to cancel your membership 3 days before the start of your next billing cycle in order to avoid auto-renewal for next month. Following any cancellation, however, you will continue to have access to FitKey through the end of your current cycle.

Can I see a list of studios available?

Download the app on iOS or Android. Go to discover > studios. You will be able to see a list of studios. Filter by category, location, credits or near me. You can also use the search bar to find studios you love!

Can I pause my subscription?

If you need to take a break from FitKey, then you can place your subscription on hold for a minimal fee of R50.00 p/m. The hold plan includes 5 credits which roll-over each month. There is no limit to the amount of time you can remain on hold/pause, and no fee when you return to your membership. In order to place your subscription/account on hold, please email info@fitkey.co.za at least 3 days before the start of your next billing cycle in order to avoid auto-renewal for the next month.
